When you decide to make a change in your life for the better, it isn't always an A-B task.
Life sometimes gets in the way.
Have you ever tried to start a new habit, like working out and things go great for awhile, and then BOOM!
It just falls apart.
You have to stay at work late, your kids get sick, you get sick, your car won't start, your in pain, your friends invite you out for drinks every damn day!
So what do you do when your plans get screwed up?
You start to think "This probably isn't for me" or you say "I'll get back on track tomorrow" but tomorrow came and went, you get depressed and just stop all together.
Now I know this is easy to say but, CUT THAT SH*T OUT ALREADY!!
It's exactly that type of thinking that got you were you are in the first place and now is your time you change it.
Don't waste time or money starting and stopping, STICK TO IT!
Here are a few tips to help you through those rough times that life tends to throw at us.
1) Stop. Hit the pause button on life and just breath. Understand that things happen and it's not always someone's fault including you.
Think about the situation that's stopping you from doing what you had planned, figure out a way to solve it and get it done. You are strong, you are unstoppable, this is your time to shine.
2) Call a time out.
Bottom line is you are not super man or women, everyone needs a break. Stress at work or in the home can take a toll on your mind as well as your body and every once and awhile you may need to recharge. If you feel the pressures of life jacking you up grab some healthy nutritious food, head home and just go to sleep.
Get back on your grind tomorrow!
3) Know that it's tough.
Nothing ever ever goes as planned, understand that. The road will be bumpy on your path to success, but stay on the path and remember why you started this journey in the first place. Expect things to go south but don't quit!
“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” ― Winston Churchill
4) Feel the ugly.
This is what life is about, the good times, the bad times and everything in between. You are making one of the biggest changes in your life, soak it up, feel it and enjoy the process. You are becoming a better version of yourself.
5) Find a co-pilot.
Accountability is important!
Everyone needs a partner to check them when we start talking wreckless!
It just makes everything better.
If you are new to working out or been out the loop for awhile and don't know where to start set up a free session and let's figure out how to help get you to where you want to be this time once and for all.
